God's Plan For You

Life can be challenging. Many times you may wonder:  Why am I here? What can I do? Is there something greater out there? When I die, will that be the end? What is the whole Jesus, Bible, Christianity thing anyways, and what does it have to do with my life?

Everybody has a story. With any story, there is some good and some bad. Your story is what shapes you and defines who you are as a person.  But like every story there is an end. At the end of your life story the question is, where will you go?

Many people say that they feel a void in their life. They have no idea why they are here and what to do with this life they have.  There is tons of information out there that says you need to look within, find out what your desires and dreams are and then you will know your purpose. We believe that you are alive today because God chose you to be here. God loves you and wants you to know Him personally.

LIfe is not so much about doing, as it is about becoming. We are to become like Christ.  The first step to that is accepting His leading in our life. This life is not the end of us. It is just the beginning.  God has given us the freedom to choose to life!

There are two paths you can choose in life. One that you direct yourself and one that you allow Christ to direct. If you choose to direct your own life, you will find that you are striving for your own selfish ambitions. Often times this results in frustration, discord, and emptiness. However, if you choose a life that is directed by Christ, you will find that there is purpose and fulfillment in Him.

Accepting a life with Christ is no guarantee that everything will work out perfectly. However, there is a peace in knowing the God is there to help you through the trials.

Unfortunately, we are sinful people. The sin in our life separates us from God. This makes it impossible to know him personally. Fortunately, Jesus died on the cross for our sin. Because of Him, we can know God and experience His love.

Imagine a great river and there is a house on one side and you are on the other. However, there is no bridge to get to the house. You are without protection and left alone on the other side. It is the same way with God. Jesus came to be the bridge to get you to the other side. He is the way to an abundant life filled with purpose. We just have to take the step across the bridge to get there. We have to make a conscious decision to turn away from our self-directed life and ask God to direct us. We have to ask Him to forgive us of our sins and to make us what he wants us to be.

It isn’t enough to believe the fact that Jesus is the Son of God, or to have some kind of emotional experience. We recieve Jesus Christ only by faith, as an act of our free will. You can receive Jesus Christ today simply by praying a prayer something like this:

Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life and make me the kind of person You want me to be. If you just prayed that prayer and accepted Jesus Christ, we are so excited for you and would love to hear about it.  We will be praying for you as you start your new life with Christ. Below you will find some scriptures that will help you. If you have any questions or want to know more about your decision, please contact us today.
